Data type is a particular kind of data item, as defined by the values it can take and/or the operations that can be performed on it.

Data types depend on the CRM platform.

It is crucial to consider data types during the mapping process to understand the kind of information you can store in a property and/or the kind of operations that a property can perform.

Scenario: There is a number type property that is used to record the number of times a person has been contacted. In case you map a number type property to a single-line text type property, you will not be able to create reports using the values from that property.

If you wish to create accurate and comprehensive reports, you need to map your property to the corresponding property with the same data type.

Certain data types are not supported by some CRMs. In that event we either automatically map to the most viable option or allow you to map it to the property which you deem most appropriate for it. to find the best solution.
