Getting Started with Switch

Learn how you can start using Switch.

Switch is a data migration that allows users to move their data between multiple CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platforms.

Migrating data from one platform (or portal) to another can be a herculean task. Complexities in data types, associations and relationships between different data sets, and security considerations induce multiple moving parts into the equation.

We built Switch to allow users to ‘Switch’ to any platform while keeping their business processes intact – placing your data where it should be and how it should be.

Switch moves every piece of data, automatically mapping it to your intended platform; getting you up and running in no time!

How to use Switch

Here's how you can use Switch to migrate your CRM data:

Select CRM

To start a migration, first select your source CRM (the one you're migrating out of) and your destination CRM (the one you are migrating to).

After selecting the CRM platforms, connect them to Switch through login on your API key depending on the CRM.

Data Mapping

Once your CRM platforms are connected to Switch, it automatically maps all your default objects and properties between the two platforms.

Next, you need to map your custom objects and properties to the destination CRM. If a corresponding object or property does not exist in the destination CRM, you can simply create a new object or property right from Switch in a single click.

Read more about creating objects and properties.

Migration

After you've wrapped up mapping your data in Switch, you need to first begin a 'Sample Migration' to validate that your source data is accurately migrated to the destination CRM.

Once the Sample Migration is completed, you can begin the full migration.
