Bulk Create Properties

Learn about the Bulk Create Properties use case in Config.

Config is equipped with a special feature to create custom properties in HubSpot, at scale and in bulk.

A simple interface to add properties in rows or upload properties as a .CSV file in bulk.

To create properties in bulk

1. Simply click the 'Bulk Create Properties' button from the sidebar.

2. Select the account where you want to create those properties.

3. Select the object for which you want to create the properties.

4. Then, either add the properties and their details through the interface, or simply import a.CSV file to create everything at once.

There are two ways to create custom properties in bulk using Config:

Add Rows

Config provides an interface to freely add multiple properties in a table format to create them in bulk.

• First, add the name of the property.

• The internal name of the property will be automatically populated, which can be edited later if required.

• Select the Property Type from the marked drop-down menu.

• Select the Property Group from the marked drop-down menu.

• Add Options (if applicable)

Import a .CSV file

Alternatively, you can simply upload a .CSV file into Config to create all the required properties. To create properties using a .CSV file:

• Download the .CSV format from Config.

• Add all the properties you want to create in the .CSV document in the given format.

• Import the .CSV file with the property details.

• Review and edit the properties being create from the interface if required.

Note: Mention the property types exactly as mentioned in the supported property type list below to create the properties through an import. Misspellings and mismatches will return an error.

Supported Property Types

The following property types must be chosen from the drop-down or added in the .CSV file for the import:

1. Single-line text

2. Date and time picker

3. Date picker

4. Drop down select

5. Multiple checkboxes

6. Multi-line text

7. Number

8. Phone-Number

9. Radio Select

10. Single checkbox

11. Rich-text

12. File

13. Currency

14. HubSpot User

1. Finally, review the properties you have created and click on the 'Create now' button to create all of them in the select HubSpot account.
